Q Prompt: As we complete the work in Module 1, students should consider the automotive company they would like to analyze for the remainder of the semester. Please keep in mind that students will be using this company as a basis for their internal analysis, competitive analysis, technological shift analysis and strategic analysis. Although some technological research may address technologies outside of those employed by the particular firm chosen, most research will address issues related to the company each student selects. Discussion thread car choice: Choose an automotive company that manufactures an electric vehicle. The choice of company is your choice! This is not an exercise in creativity - any EV company will work as long as you can gather material to be able to do the exercises - but do not choose a company from North Korea (for example - but there most likely is not one) as the ability to gather information would be very difficult! In other words, pick a company that is 'known' or is made by a 'known' company. You can choose a company that someone else has chosen - duplicates will be OK!!! Many automotive manufacturers are very large, with extensive product lines and multiple markets. In order to narrow the focus of discussion to a manageable level, our focus will address electronic vehicles (EVs). Most automotive producers have EVs, but students should keep this in mind when choosing a company. Instructions: 1. Final choices should be made no later than 23:59 EST Sunday. Grading This discussion thread is available for students to see which car manufacturers have been chosen and which have not. The 'grading' is to allow you to garner valuable points - I give you the 50 points!!
